Environmental Working Group

It is not every day that you will come across a plastic surgeon who is researching ways of preventing and correcting skin problems with skin care products but that is exactly what Dr Domanskis did. However Dr Domanskis went a step further. Just as the Environmental Working Group specializes in environmental research and advocacy in the areas of toxic chemicals and more, Dr Domanskis’ research led him to start considering natural alternatives to chemicals in skin care products.

The Environmental Working Group is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is; ‘to use the power of public information to protect public health and the environment’. The organization undertakes environmental research and advocacy into many environmental issues including the use of toxic chemicals. The use of chemicals was also of concern to Dr Domanskis whose research into effective skin care caused him to feel concern over the number of products on the market that are made with harsh, often synthetic chemicals.

For over ten years Dr Domanskis researched different products and ingredients in an effort to understand what products could care for the skin and prevent and correct problems. At first he identified products on the market that could fulfill some of his objectives but he wanted more; Dr Domanskis, like the Environmental Working Group, wanted to advocate against the use of toxic chemicals and so he developed his own organic and natural skin care range.

The Environmental Working Group is concerned with the levels of toxins and chemicals in cosmetics and Dr Domanskis shares these concerns. He is also concerned by the amount of packaging used by many in the skin care industry. The Organoderm range created by Dr Domanskis has been designed to address these issues and to be an effective and elegant way of preventing and correcting skin care problems.

Like the Environmental Working Group Dr Domanskis believes that skin care should be made with natural ingredients and his research has shown that such products can also be effective. Groups like the Environmental Working Group are working towards a greener world. This is also something that Dr Domanskis believes strongly in.
